Advocacy Planning Meeting with IHC

In March 2026, I travelled down to Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) to do live illustrations for the IHC Advocacy Team. Over two days, I listened, learned, and created visual highlights of key discussions, ideas, and themes. At the end, we all went around looking at the posters to reflect on the things that were discussed throughout our time together.

From these posters, I drew inspiration from the illustrations and created a visual library of icons that will be available for future use in Easy-Read documents, presentations, and any other documents that would benefit from including visual illustrations.

This is a visual report showing the final, digitised posters along with some of the stand-alone icons that I developed, and some photos of my time in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Some of the digitised posters are very similar to their original drawings, but others required layout changes to reduce crowding and allow for space.
